Consular Fees
Note: The U.S. Embassy only accepts payment in the form of bank drafts.
Current consular fees for visas include:
Non-Immigrant Visas:
For all applicants: Machine-Readable Visa (MRV) fee of $131 or Rs. 14,400
Issuance Fee: None for Sri Lanka and the Maldives. For other nationalities, please check the Department of State Reciprocity Schedule for your country.
“L” Blanket petition fraud prevention fee = $500 or Rs.50,000.00 (note: only for work-related "L" visa category)
Immigrant Visas:
Immigrant Visa Security fee = $45
Diversity Visa Processing fee = $375
Determining Returning Resident Status fee = $400
